River City, that was something I never even thought of . At this late of date, I think I'll forego them. Next year I'll definitely go out in search of them. Thanks for offering tho.

I will recheck the forecast in the AM, if things don't change much, I am going to skip this one.

The forecast has been the same for the past week, so things haven't changed much.

We can expect rain mixed with rain, then additional rain, then just rain interspersed with brief periods of damp.

But, the people will be nice and warm, with sunny dispositions and dry humor. Hope to see you there!

What the heck.  I'm loaded up, I'm going.  If all I get to do is set under a tarp and tell sea stories, it's enough!
Civilize them with a Krag . . .

The difference between a nursery rhyme and a sea story:  One begins "Once upon a time........." and the other begins "This is a no-shi$$er.........."  A Navy Lieutenant (Surface Warfare instructor) told me that YEARS ago!

Will you be joining us Ned?

I'm mostly loaded. I'll be there!

" minor inconvenience " ...eh  John ?  have to go some to be in the league ( think "Under the Sea" wet )  of  the Texas SE Regional back in Oct  ;) now that was a tad damp !

when planets align...do the deal !

Pitspitr

Well, I don't have overboots so last night I blacked my boots and put about three coats of mink oil and beeswax on them. With wool socks I should be ok for the day.
