Made an offer on a revolver on Gunbroker.  Dealer says "That will work.  I'll change the buy it now price."  Someone else jumped in an bought it before I could get to it.  Last time it happened I agreed on a price on a rifle, and then the guy sold it for more locally and claimed he didn't get my "I'll take it" message until afterwards.  Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

I should add that the dealer on this latest one said "Sorry, I'll let you know if the deal falls through."  Shouldn't he be telling the other guy that?  If I'm on his end, I man up and tell the buyer I can't sell it to him because I'd already agreed to sell it to someone else.  If that means I take a hit on feedback, so be it.  I can just about guarantee if I'd said I'd take it and then backed out, it would get re-listed with the "Due to a non-paying bidder........."  I guess you either have ethics or you don't, and pretty obviously, he "don't".
"There go those Nebraskans, and all hell couldn't stop them!"
