Scattered Thumbs

In Portugal(a far away country), in the following years after the 1910(a long time ago) Republican Revolution that ended a 800 year old Monarchy. Die hard Monarchists resisted the young Republica for a number of years.

While the Army was armed with the (recently adopted) Luger pistol, the counterrevolutionary forces armed themselves (among other things) with the Mauser C96 pistol.

Only around 1918, and given the apparent lack of interest of the deposed King (living in exile in the UK), did these movements die out.

PS. When I reread that first introduction found it very similar with the openings of the Star Wars movies.  ::) ;D

Anyways, here are two of the interviniants:

Yes! Those are very cool! Is it OK there to have a stock on the C96? OK here for any original C96 or Artillery Luger without any special paperwork or fees.

I'm not really sure. But probably not OK. But, "back then" they were used, just look at the seated guy in the far left.
