Very interesting site! with all of its goodies.

It was also very interesting to see, slightly lower in the listings. an "M" type 1853 Enfield Rifle Musket.
These are very interesting variation on the American plan of a P-1853 type 3 Enfield like rifle musket.
Put together by J P Moore, a New York dealer for Colt firearms to England.

The prices seem to be very reasonable.

The Merrill and Spencer are under priced in my opinion, especially compared to a few years back.

Something going on in the market place?

That seems like a great price on the Spencer. I have one just like it and paid considerably more a few years ago. An original Spencer rifle in nice shape for less than a repro? Someone needs to buy that rifle!

My NIB Shiloh Sporter is arriving Friday or I'd be looking at importing either the Merrill or Smith carbine. My Gallagher needs a companion ACW stable mate.

LKR - I'll tell you that mine is extremely accurate. These were converted to rifles using M1868 springfield trapdoor barrels. Mine loves the Rapine 350T bullet and 45gr of Goex 2F.

And to show that the above was not a one target fluke, I shot another 5 rounds a clean target. It's a winner in my book.
