Few know that there is cast bullet manuf. that sells this wonderful bullet, albeit not lubed with BP lube. He does however sell them unsized & unlubed for the same price for those who do their own sizing & lubing, but don't cast.

Both good bullets.  I shot the 43-215C in my JM Marlin Ballard (org chambering 44WCF)

So JB, if I recall the NOE was the result of a 'group think' on the Cast Boolit Forum if I recall. I bought my mould as a result of reading that thread back in late Summer 2011.

I just cast another 300 of the NOE bullet from my mould last night. What a fine piece of equipment!

FWIW, Tom at Accuratemolds.Com will make a mould to your specifications at no additional charge. I've noticed that in his line of bullets in .40, .44 and .45 caliber there are multiple choices of the designs with the large lube grooves. I have one of his 4-cavity moulds and the quality is stunning.

Tis a fact. These are 2 rare Ideal Schuetzen molds that were designed by Doc Hudson that he put in the catalog from the bullets I sent Tom

... And for $118, I ordered a single aluminum mold cut for both bullets!  :)  One can change the diameters on any Accurate mold to fit the groove dimensions of your rifle. I have a tight 378 groove on my 38-55, so reduced the 2 bottom band diameters

Just checked out the NOE website. Nice looking moulds. I am very pleased with my accurate 215C though.

FCK,
Back then the idea was to replicate the profile of the original .44-40 bullet but with additional lube capacity to run with Goex and similar, more fouling powders.  I had done some testing to determine the ideal amount of lube required to prevent foul out in a 24" barrel.  Thus the NOE bullet was created.

As it turned out, the nose profile did not quite follow the profile of the original .44-40 bullet as one can see in the pic.  I decided to contact Tom at Accurate Molds and the 43-215C was born. It follows the profile of the original 44-40 bullet and holds the ideal lube capacity according to my testing.

The "Big Lube" bullet shown is out of date.  The current profile of the Mav Dutchman has a deeper crimp groove and a longer nose.
