Flatbush, ............. You are OH SO SCREWED!!  Murphy's cummin ta get ya and hi's runnin HARD.  Your OEM flat hand springs are now going to snap like itty bitty tooth pics.  It's ALL OVER!!

the hole in the frame is punched with a 3/32 drill.  Keep your drill speed low and keep the drill lubricated.  If the drill runs dry and snaps
off down in the frame, your are so screwed.  Don't ask how I know this fact  :'(

On a Pietta frame, it helps if the hole is punched a degree or two off vertical, toward the bottom of the frame.

Lefty!!
Since I'm only working on Pietta these days, I have a block of wood that fits in the drill press vice to align the frame for drilling.  Then I
cross my fingers and grab the handle.  KEEP OIL ON THE DRILL!!

Lefty Dude

Yep; I use cutting oil, lift the bit often and re lube. Broken my share of bits I should have lubed in my day. And being 77 years young, well it was a few in my 40 years as a Craftsman in the construction trade.

Use an old cylinder sitting face down on a drill press vice.  Drop the arbor of the frame you want to drill through the cylinder.  It will be plumb in all directions.
