I have added two more 1911 to the stable. The first, is going to be for ZS, a Remington R1 that is a good shooter. The second, well it might get used, but it is a 1917 built Colt 1911 I just traded for and is it sweet!

Looks like somebody changed out the original mainspring housing and grip safety. Maybe an armorer, and easy to restore if you think it's important. Absolutely no Biggy if you like it the way it is

Right on both points. Also, the hammer is going to get replaced back to a wide spur, that one I'm going to shorten as this beast chews hard on my XXL paws. Double diamond grips too.
