Don't know if this is the place to ask, but does anyone know what back issues of The Shootist Magazines are worth as I have almost all since the outfit started, plus the tally book, all in excellent shape.Really good stuff in all of them. Would give thanks for any help.

I have no idea! I would guess it is up to the individual?
I have all of them except for the very first original issue, but have no interest in selling them.
I would however be willing to donate them back to NCOWS, should they be willing to re- publish any of them.
I have had 24 articles published in The Shootist between Dec. 1994 and Sept. 2004.

How about "renting" that collection out? Say X dollars a month and then that person ships them off to the next in line. If love to read them.

Blair, you should assemble a book of your articles. If by it. Could be an electronic version.

As the Nation Secretary, I get the overprint of every issue.  The Editor keeps a separate inventory.  However, since the magazine is printed for the members, not posterity, sometimes we run out of an issue.  In the old days, they printed just enough.  Now we print extra for new members, inquiries, and replacement of issues lost in the mail.  I have been Secretary of NCOWS for 4 years now, and I don't have copies of everything that was printed.  Johnny calls or emails and says he didn't get an issue, I mail it out, even if it is my last issue.  The only time I tell someone that wants a replacement "no" is when I am totally out of them.  With the new paper and stitch we worked out, that has happened very infrequently.
