Any pards in Denver?

Howdy all,

Got a question for any of you all in Colorado in general, and Denver in particular. My fiancé and myself decide we wanted to spend our honeymoon in your beautiful state. Anyone know of anything fun to do? Obviously, I'm into the history of the American West, and my lady is a good sport about it. So any options in that particular field?

Black Hawk & Central City for old mining towns. Along with Leadville.
These are not ghost towns but still quite active mining communities.

The scenic Steam train out of Durango, I can't remember the full name.
Cave if the winds and a evening concert at the natural amphitheater at Red Rocks.
The suspension Bridge at Royal Gorge.

Trum, the name of the railroad from Durango to Silverton is "Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Train". We, my wife and I, were in 1996 in the States on holiday for 3 weeks and we have made this trip from Durango to Silverton and back. It was a wondefull experience.

I forgot about the  Bridge at Royal Gorge.  Can you still drive over it ?  You could in the 70's , I did and still I forgot about it...
which is nuts , that thing is scary, with it  loose wood plank road way.
I think all you can do now it walk out on it 
There is a incline railway down into the Gorge also a thrill , look up at the bridge and it looks like a string.

Since we are talking trains Georgetown Loop Train Ride.

Maybe Glenwood Springs & Linwood Cemetery, if your in to Doc Holliday

If you and/or your Lady don't like high places... don't do the Royal Gorge Bridge thing. The mighty Colorado River looks like a tiny silver thread running through the bottom of the canyon/gorge.
High places don't bother me as a rule, but this brought my pucker factor up to about 10 on the "Pucker" scale.

I was going to suggest Glenwood Springs myself. If you can get hold of Utah Bob, he's out in that neck of the woods

you are correct. Colorado is a large State.
Don't forget the Grand Canyon in the South and Dinosaur National Park in the Northwest.

As kind of an add on to this, any good places to seek out Old West guns in the Denver area? Not terribly likely that I'll leave with one, but it's always fun to browse and dream.
