Two Bit Charlie

Just got back from the 2015 Midwest Regionals last night. What a shoot! If you haven't been there yet, you don't know what you're missing.  You're shooting in the rolling hills of northern Wisconsin, surrounded by the cool woods. The weather is warm (the lakes just thawed out and the snow is gone!).

I want to thank the members of the Wisconsin Old West Shootist for their hospitality. I took my 9 year old grandson to shoot as an apprentice. They worked with him, made sure he understood each senerio. They were patient with  him and made sure he had a great time.

We had shooters from 5 states, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana. If you're looking for a great shoot next July and if you want to escape the heat from down south, think of the Northern Woods of Wisconsin! NO SNOW!

Thanks again to WOWS for the shoot and the hospitality!

They have always put on great shoots.  I use to go up there when they were the only CAS club in Wisconsin.  A great bunch of people.  I really miss seeing them.

Pete, we are still here, though I know you probably won't make it up here again. You and everyone else is welcome to come visit us. Two Bit Charlie, thanks for the kind words. Yup the snow is gone, has been for a little while too. Last year we still had snow in May but that was very unusual.

I had a blast with everyone that came. Almost half the shooters shot black powder! Look for a slide show soon, put together by John Saffran with his usual skill.

I feel like something is missing today now that everyone is gone and I can't wait for them to come back next year.

Beautiful setting, good friends, and LOTS of black powder smoke!!! We had a great time again
this year, thanks to everyone who puts this on. It sounded like the new shooters really enjoyed
themselves and are planning on bringing friends next year. Thanks again, this is NCOWS at its
finest

Beartooth Billy and Two Bit Charlie have said it all.

This truly is a premier event and NCOWS at it's finest!

Many thanks to Dan Topper and the Wisconsin Old West Shootosts for another great event.

My son, grandson and my Pard "Grump" are already looking forward to 2016.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Tom, my friend, I might just try to make it next year. Save up for a motel room since I know longer have a camper.  I miss you guys more than I can say.

Pete, I'm hoping you will be able to make it to the convention in March, being in Davenport
it's fairly "close" to you. Otherwise the committee may have to dream up a Will Ketchum
scavenger hunt.

I too hope I can make it.  Funds have been a bit scarce these days.  I have entered my "golden years"  ::)
