Looks all correct-except they changed out the rear sights when they rebuilt them. The Ski slope is gone.... :(

I think the base is different, isn't it?  The Peruvians used a long 98 that looks like a dead ringer for the GEW 98, and some were converted to .30-06.  A pretty nice one sold on Gunbroker a few weeks ago for $300.

That's the sight, but as Ned pointed out, the base is different, it is kind of flat and has the notches along the sides to lock the adjuster.

You can really see the sight in one of his pictures.  But the JG is acceptable as is.  As would be the Peruvian 1909.  I just don't see many Infantry length GEW 98 pattern rifles around here much.
