   In 2008 NCOWS held the National Shoot at Westside .  And it seems like they just keep improving year after year . Dustin and Cash will again do an Excellent job . I bet they have the targets just the right size and distance . Hope I can make it I always had a great time there . It didn't matter if I was shooting or sitting around the fire .

I'll have to agree with Rowdy, just better and better. One of my favorite things to do at the National is visit the camping area over on the hill. Talk about correct those fellow go all out. Visit them and talk to them about the time period they are living. One of my favorites was talking to Bear Tooth Billy. He really gave a very good talk about his time period and how he lived and what he did. Takes you right back to that time. Then there is my visit to Hamliton Dry Goods and a visit with Matt. Yes a lot more to do at the NCOWS National than shoot. See you all there. Tj

No disagreements there, boys. The Nationals folks typically do an outstanding job for the organization. My hat's off to them for all the long and often difficult work they do on our behalf. A great crew, for sure.

Just offering a reminder to all that target size, placement and distance do matter to our shooters.

I was thinking ALL NCOWS members could shoot like Annie Oakley and Buffalo Bill. You know hit a silver dollar at 75 yards. Dave do you mean some of us can't  ??? CC

Texas Jack, thanks for the compliment on my camp. We are definitely planning on being there this June.
Hopefully you can join the group for some buffalo chili on perhaps Wed. evening.

Well, Cash, I don't know from first-hand observation, but I've heard tell that there are a couple of NCOWS members who may only be "average" shooters.     ;D ;)

Average is a mathematical calculation using numbers, and;

I am not a "number", I am a Human Being, aka an NCOWS member. 8)

Sir Charles, does this indicate you will be attending the National Shoot this year?  I look forward to meeting you if so.

I don't think i can make it. I will be visiting in-laws in St Louis, and outlaws in The Bootheel this July.

I know I have been a member for quite a while, and have NEVER joined SASS. I am an Alone Ranger. 8)

I do try to wave the flag and preach the message wherever I go. HEH! Thats an idea. Can I obtain an NCOWS Penant/Guidon to attach to my lance?
