Subject: Promotions of Charles "Moose Wrangler" Strong (GAF#787) and Bill "Charles Goodnight" Mayes (GAF#815)

Sir,
It is my pleasure to announce the promotion of Charles "Moose Wrangler" Strong to the rank of Bvt SgtMaj, Division of Illinois.  Moose Wrangler has shown himself to be of a proper "sneaky and cunning manner" and will do the Division of Illinois proud as its top NCO.

Likewise, I also have the pleasure to announce that Bill "Charles Goodnight" Mayes has accepted the commission of Bvt Major, Vice Commander, Division of Illinois.  Charles Goodnight has singled himself out as a competent leader and promoter of the Grand Army of The Frontier.

I am proud to serve with and have both of these men as fellow soldiers of the GAF and the Division of Illinois.  Both promotions are effective the date of this order.
