Howdy,

I just wanted to send out a general THANK YOU to all those who participate, advise, argue, preach and in general, just share what they know and have experimented with. I know there are 10,000 separate ways to do just about anything and if you ask 10 people, you will get 20 separate versions .... and for that I am thankful.

So hey ... enjoy and keep it up.

Hear Hear! It's a big help to those of us who are stumbling their way into shooting these old (or old style) guns.

I'll be frank in stating that NOWHERE on the entire Internet is there more or better info than right here for shooting percussion revolvers, BPC revolvers & BPC lever action rifles. No other site even compares. A person could come here and merely lurk & read the archives and have more info in a few hours than we ol' timers had back in the 'Stone Age' before the Internet. I bought an Uberti Henry rifle in the Spring of 1982 and shot BPC in it using modern smokeless lube Speer bullets. What a mess that was!! I cleaned lead out of the barrel for a week afterwards!! There was only primary source info available then and nothing about using a BP specific lube. It was the real................................Dark Ages.  ;D

I must agree with Fox Creek Kid.  NOWHERE is there a more friendly and free exchange of information then here on the CAS City Forums.
All too often, on other boards, folks get real impressed with themselves and become a nuisance.  That's rather rare here.

We all like to contribute.  It may sometimes appear that we are picking on one another.  We are.  But mostly, it's all in good fun.  ;D

Pick pick pick pick  ::)

Heck, if it weren't for the great folks here at CAS City, I'd still be shooting those nasty plastic Shotgun Hulls.   ;D

This was my Go-To forum when I decided to start shooting Cap & Ball Revolvers in SASS/CAS competition.

The greatest group of Cowboys frequent this board and group of Black Powder based Threads and Forums.

Thanks to All who have shared the knowledge and have made my Black powder experience, Fun, Safe, and enjoyable.

Lets keep it going, we are a different type of Shooter, thats for sure.

A wise person once said ...
There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it.
You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good.
So love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't.
