It is with heavy heart that I must announce that Maynard Gulbranson -- Curly LaGrande GAF #490 passed away December 7, 2014.

He had a brain tumor and has been battling it for a year or so.

Maynard was one of the first people I met when I started CAS shooting. He also was one of the first people recruited for the Dept. of Minnesota GAF. He attended a couple Grand musters and  the Minnesota musters.

Visitation is Wed Dec 10 4-7 at Anderson's Funeral home in Alex, 659 Voyager, Alexandria, MN 56308.

Funeral is Thurs Dec 11 in Henning, MN at St. Paul's Lutheran church at 11 AM.

My heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies go out at this very sad news. He certainly will be missed by the GAF shooting community.

Regards,
Pat "Shamrock" Gannon

I just got word that Jerry Barnes passed away early this morning. Jerry is the closest friend (human) that I have lost since my Dad in '07 and before that, high school. Jerry had not been in good health since he went down at the National Shoot 4 or 5 years ago. I have known Jerry since the Days of buckskinning. He was an NCOWS senator, an Original and Hiram's Ranger # 2. I did not see him near enough the last few years. I will miss him more than I can express.    jt
I Believe Jerry was a GAF members as well. I know that he attended several Grand Musters. Quite a Gentleman. I had the opportunity to visit with him at the GM a couple of years ago and I'll never forget how excited he was when he won the rifle at the 2005 GM. I don't know that he said a word. I doubt that he'd have been able to.
