Hi, Folks:

I have a lot of admiration for the re-enactors among us, though I am not
sure how far I would want to get involved. Some folks are pretty passionate, I guess.
All the same, I don't mind having a kind of Period Costume dedicated to my visits to the
range, including a Scout coat, Slouch Hat and cross-draw holster. One item I
picked-up was a NOS ACW cartridge pouch for C&B pistols. It has nothing to organize
the inside and I am toying around with just how I might use this item for my range
visits. One thought was to put together a kind of mini-shooting kit that included wads,
caps, pick and nipple wrench. Another thought was to keep it simple and just make an
insert to hold a half-dozen paper cartridges, "just because". There is not a lot of space in the 4.5x3x1"
interior, and I already have a pretty decent kit that I leave on the loading table behind the line.
I was also thinking of ear plugs and shooting glasses....but my grand-daughter though it would be ideal
for my cellphone...... (sign of the times, right?).  Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Bruce, your granddaughter is correct.  All Cowboys carry their cell phone in a cartridge pouch.  Those little buggers are hard to get out of a pocket when on horseback.
