Will a standard uberti cattleman cylinder from VTI fit into a Cimarron Model P?  Or  Is the Model P a special design/size?

I do know that fitting is required.  But are the cylinders the same in the standard cattleman and the Model P?

Thanks

Yes it should fit (some fitting may be required).  Order a bushing with it so each cylinder has its own bushing.  The standard Cattleman cylinder may have a proof mark stamped on it that a cylinder from Cimarron would not have, but otherwise same.

Abilene,

Thanks.  I was modifying my original posting to be alittle more clear at the same time you were posting your reply.

Thanks again.

Abilene,

I looked and found the parts listing for Cimarron.  But now I am confused about something.  The bushing on a BP frame model P, I own, is pressed into the cylinder and I know that Uberti does press in all bushings(saw video too).  So, do the cylinders listed for purchase on the site already have unsized bushings or do I have to buy a separate bushing?

You might have to call to be sure, but I don't think the new parts cylinders have bushings installed.  They may "press fit" the bushings at the factory in cylinders being fitted to guns, easy to believe since on most new guns the bushing is a bitch to remove the first time.  But on the spare parts, the new bushings just slide in easily.

44 centerfire,

Thanks for the info, the cylinders do have a corresponding bushing.
