Hello. Just thought I would share with you my take on a Henry rifle cartridge box that i recently completed. It holds 90 rounds in three trays. It rides on the right hip attached to your belt via a leather radio holder belt loop and a adjustable shoulder strap. the top swings open away from the body allowing one to take rounds off the top tray to load your rifle. When the tray is empty, one then opens the front facing side tray and slide out a fresh tray from the bottom of the  box and places it atop the empty tray and reload anew. repeat until the box is empty. The box is constructed of wood and plated in brass sheet. All hardware is solid brass and the top and side doors lock. The box swivels on the radio holder pivot point so you can bend over with out spilling your rounds. Inside the front of the box is designed to allow ones finger enough space to grab the rounds.

Thank you for the kind words. I enjoyed building it and using it. The brass box compliments the henry rifle and draws attention to the 1860 henry. I enjoy explaining the history of this fine rifle to others at the range.

Mom always said.  If you do not have anything nice to say, then do not open your mouth.

I like it.  Looks like great workmanship.  You should be proud.

Outstanding.  I have a friend who just acquired a Henry by Uberti, and as much as I covet that rifle, this box really brings out the Green-Eyed Monster.
