I recently threw out 260+ cap tins I saved over the years 'cause I couldn't find a good reason to keep them all. Starting on my second bag'o tins.

I probably won't accrue as many as you folks have, but I plan to use mine
to carry a given number of wads for when I do my loading at the range.
Just another way to keep the Bore Butter, tallow or whatever from getting all
over everything.

It just occurred to me that shoe polish tins would work, too.

Also, as an aside, the old glass Alka Seltzer bottles that held a dozen or so tabs in a flat stack are a wonderful way to carry eggs.  If you want one yolk and a bit of the white you can pour out just what you need.  In my case I hate egg whites so I can get an extra yolk in mine and a small amount of water with a drop of cooking oil to keep them from sticking.  Good for a few days before they turn.

Small friction fit cans are available to carry such things as Crisco or lard, butter, there are ways to keep it from turning rancid), chocolate chunks, dried veggies, peanut butter, and bread crumbs.  Get the kind with plastic air tight lids.

Lots and lots of ways to live comfortable while looking "period correct".

By the way, invest in a good carved darning egg.  Think of the comments you'll get whilst darning your socks or patching a sleeve.   ;)
