Got lucky and picked up a $33 replacement butt stock for my NM rifle.  I have been shooting this gun quite a bit and have been concerned with damaging the crack-free origional stock.  Any Pards out there switch out their stocks just to preserve the old stock from enevitable dings and damage during use?

Blair

Ibgreen,

You got an original stock at a very good price!

Does it have any cracks or checks?

My best,

No original, I picked up a 25yo S&s stock that has never been fitted.  I don't know if it is a Dunlop or not.

Blair

Ibgreen,

Still, it is a good price.

How does it fit up?
Come on, don't keep us guessing?

Just got it in the mail today.  I still need a front rifle stock for my engraved 1860 and a spare for my NM.
I'll let you know how it fits.
