My dad recently passed and left me a new in the box Ruger Vaquero model 5103 stainless 7.5 inch barrel.  My research shows Ruger has discontinued this model.  Not sure if that makes the gum more valuable or less.  This specific gun has had a total of 12 rounds shot in it and is is excellent condition. My question is, does anyone have a ballpark value on this gun?

Might be good to do a search on some of the gun auction, gun sales sites and see what they are selling for.  You will find starting bids, buy it now prices and actual bids.  I think the actual bid prices of sold guns may be a more realistic figure.

Thanks Blackfoot,

Yea I checked a few of them, but no one seemed to have one for sell.  At least not recently.  I don't know if that is because they have been discontinued by Ruger and folks are holding onto them or not.  Anyway, thanks for the replay.

Ruger 5103,  New Vaquero .45 colt, stainless, 7.5", see one sold on Guns America recently for $555 new in box.
If you are searching by 5103 there may no be many listed that way.

Ruger hasn't discontinued the New Vaquero, just the 7.5" barrel length.  The longer barrels are not terribly popular.  It is a shooter and since the gun is still in production there are plenty on the auction sites.
