Nice rifle, pretty similar to my M1871, but I paid about $1K less for mine last year.  Mine's a very accurate shooter with the M1868 Trapdoor barrel that Springfield armory iinstalled on it.

Is that a M1860 hammer on it?

To tell you the truth, i dont know the difference between an 1860 and 1865 hammer.  But I looked at the auction photo and the hammer on my M1871.  They look the same as far as I can tell.

An 1860 hammer does not taper in on the hammer face.  An 1865-68 has a taper so that the face of the hammer, does not hang over the side of the receiver.

The hammer on my M1871 does taper in so the nose doesn't overhang. Its a gentle taper and hard to see unless I look close.
