My otherwise highly reliable .44 Russian Spencer has broken its cartridge guide vee spring and parts for these earlier model ArmiSport Spencers appear to be unavailable.  Anybody out there know of a source?

I have the broken one, so even a source to a good vee-spring-making gunsmith would sure be appreciated!

You can modify a original spring from S&S by grinding its width down and alight length modification, but the best bet is to make a new one with the dementions from the old one,any gunsmith worth his salt can make one

Much appreciated - I guess I'll start looking for a salty gunsmith....  ;D

An update to my 'broken spring' post - I ended up getting an original '60/'65 Spencer vee spring from Lodgewood and trimming it down with about two hours of file-measure-fit work.  I think I could have left it a wee bit longer than it ended up, but overall it was pretty simple and I once again have a functioning ArmiSport .44 Spencer for my slow but smokey cowboy shooting.

Think I'll order another one of those springs or two just to have on hand as the first one only lasted 8 years or so...  8)

Thanks for the suggestions!  Dodgy
