USFA finish work

How much finish work was actually done in-house? I was always under the impression that all finish work was done by Turnbull but am now hearing reports to the contrary.

Prior to about 2009 (maybe 2008) Turnbull did the color case and Armory Blue.  Nickel was farmed out also.  Dome Blue and the the Rodeo finish was done in house.  After those dates, Turnbull did the colorcase only.  USFA installed Armory Blue ovens and nickel tanks.  Frames were final polished prior to going to Turnbull.  When nickel was farmed out, USFA did the nickel polish prior to sending out the guns (in pieces).  They were reassembled after coming back from nickel.
