Makin up some form of fouling control fer cap&ball revolvers and cartridge shooters can be a lil trying at times.

One trick is to get some sticky to the lube/lube pill so it sticks to the barrel and elsewhere ahead of the powder blast so the fouling sticks to sticky stuff that's on/in the barrel.
Fouling sticking to sticky stuff can be pushed out each shot fired so one chambers worth of fouling is all there is in the barrel at a time waiting to be pushed out.

Sticky can be added to the recipie with some Castile soap from the Health Food store. Castile soap is exotic oils saponized to be like a soap. Looks like oil though. It adds a lil sticky to the lube/pill/grease cookie.

Contrary to popular belief "Toilet Installation Wax Ring Seals" is good to add to a lube. It was once bees wax made but now is some other type waxy stuff. It adds some "good" to bullet lube.

Ask a friend I know.....Smoking Gun that hangs out at the forum fer black powder stuff called "Old Coots Den & Privy". His recipie has been tried by others and is said to work well. His recipie has toilet wax ring in place of bees wax. Olive oil and some paraffin to it too.

I've tried the wax ring toilet installation waxy stuff in lube recipies and it never hurt anything even if it is said to be non organic these days. Tried it startin way back in the mid eithies some time ago. Used it on and off since then. Used olive oli too. Makes good ingedients fer lube. Toilet wax rings and olive oil with some paraffin wax.

I'm just saying that adding a lil toilet wax ring to yer lube can help the recipie as can Castile Soap.. Sticky to a lube is a good thing.

Get that lil extra milage out of yer lube and try some sticky stuff added in a small amount. Helps with the big guns like the Walker and the Dragoons that creat. a lot of powder fouling. It helps by having the fouling stick to the sticky stuff that lets the fouling get pushed out each chamber fired.

Helps in those areas that have hot dry air with not much moisture in it too.
There is a trick that can help usin 10% or less "Raw Linseed Oil" in the recipie too.  :o Not boiled linseed oil...RAW Linseed Oil.
