Don't laugh but I have a new way to rinse when vinegarooning

So I love vinegaroon. I have never had much luck using commercial dyes, and I like that 'roon permeates the leather as it does. I use a 5 pound plastic cottage cheese tub to soak and do the baking soda neutralization soak.
I always worry some that I might not get all the soda rinsed out leading to finish damage on a gun. I've learned from experimentation that if I set our top loading washer to the permanent press small load feature, I can gently rinse a holster by itself in several gallons of clear fresh water for several minutes without any bruising or apparent injury to the leather. I take it out before spinning, pat it dry in a soft towel and let it air dry some before boning. Works for me. Your mileage may vary.
I will say though that if I still lived on the farm I grew up on I would be quick to secure my holsters for rinsing under water in a brisk creek for several hours.  Don

I also like it better than the commercial dyes. It's so much better of a black. I've always just rinsed it in a pan of water after neutralizing. Never had any problem with it.

Actually Ms Penny knows I do it and helps me keep track of timing if I forget to set the timer. Every hard working man who deserves a wonderful woman in his life should have a spouse like her. We share TWO hobby rooms in our home, foster litters of puppies for the local animal shelter together (have seven in our family room now in a corral), we shoot together, quilt and love vintage Singer sewing machines together and she was instrumental in convincing me to buy my Cowboy 3500 leather sewing machine. And each night I say thank you to her for being who she is and marrying me, and in my prayers say Thank you Lord for my wife. Don
