When you said she was British I couldn't help but picture a female Piers Morgan preaching to you in your own house. It's especially worse when someone from another country or background is putting down someones way of life that they have no understanding of.

happens here in OZ every time there is a report of a shooting in the USA, some self opinionated media "celebrity" carries on about how you people need gun control. they truly sicken me, i am reasonably erudite, but i have no words to describe the depths of my contempt for these people. Sounds typical of any LIberal "true believer" on any subject.  They feel obligated to to look down their nose at you from the high ground of moral superiority and lecture stridently until you see the light.  And if you refuse to "open your eyes" they keep turning up the volume and the indignation until you do.  And if you still refuse, they leave in a huff of great disdain! 

It's always amazed me how they insist that you see (and agree with) their point of view, but absolutely refuse to consider your point of view.  That's their definition of "tolerance" - you tolerate, and support, their right to their opinion while they denigrate yours.
