Would any of you good people buy a ASM Converstion today after all the troubles that have been pointed about them out over the years? Iam 70 now and looking for one to put with my other Conversions and pass down to my Grandsons, and Great Grandsons.

There were some nice ones and Dave Anderson made really nice customs on ASM's

So yes.... after scrutiny
when planets align...do the deal !

Sure, after verifying the object of my desire works.  Understanding it may not work for long :-)

I had 2 1851 conversions with consecutive serial numbers. One was and still is a very nice looking and functioning gun. ( good lock works and very accurate.)  The other had a soft hammer and trigger and had a few other problems. I think it is " pot luck " with these guns.

If you don't like your relatives, just leave them out of your will.  Don't stick them with an ASM.

Thanks men, for the reply, I have a chance to buy one with the serial number range in the 900s for $350.00 and I was just wondering if it is a good gamble?
thanks again,
Reno
