unless they've changed the Tandy ones are the cheap cast zinc ones with a nickel plating - for better quality cast brass with or without nickel plating go to Weaver Leather - they now offer online retails sales.

I don't know about that. I've been wearing one on my everyday gun belt for several years now with no problem. I particularly like the engraved one.

Graveyard Jack

I ordered some from Tandy late last year thinking they were brass and found they were plated. They also have rough edges that would cut the belt. Those I got from Springfield look to be much better. I do like the Cody buckle from Tandy though and Ghormley's are excellent.

Thanks all for the great information.  ...just what I was looking for.

Again, thanks for the great leads.  I checked them all out, and ordered buckles from Weaver leather on Chuck's recommendation.  their prices were good, the buckles are what I'm looking for, and they use PayPal.

David Carrico's and Will Ghormley's buckles are top notch in my opinion.

Dalton your right . They don't get any better than Wills.  Chisholm Trail has a nice selection of reenactment ones also. KT
Cheer up things could be worse, sure enough I cheered up and they got worse.
