A forum member took the time, really went out of his way to explain the difference between USPFA and usfa, but I just wanted to be positive. God bless.

The parts were made in Italy by Uberti to Doug Donnally's standards, then finished and assembled in the US. I have one in .45 with a 7 1/2" barrel, and a .357 Magnum (yeah, that's right) with a 4 3/4 barrel. They are not quite as nice as the newer USFAs, but they are a step or two beyond the standard Uberti.

Here is a pic of the .357:

If you're unhappy with it I'll give you a hundred bucks and take it off your hands. ;)

The USPFA's are going for what the USFA SA's  used to cost, from what I've seen.

That was inevitable to happen. Any "pre-law suit" item becomes more valuable.

Sometimes ...... I ........Just ....... Can't ......... Help Myself  ;D
USPFA .......... USFA ........ Mox Nix.  Both are real High End Ubertis.  Very well made, exceptional fit and finish.  Hugely over priced.  And now, now that USFA is history, being offered for STUPID money.  Now to really start some stuff ...
Both USPFA and USFA were better than recent Colt products.  Oops, there aren't any recent Colt products.  Colt hasn't shipped any SAAs to dealers in over three years.  The Colt guns that are available are Way over priced for what you get too.
So ....... Let's be thankful for Uberti and Pietta.  Without them, we wouldn't have nice new SAAs to play with.  Also from the land of MV Agusta and Ducati and what Maj 2 said.

MOST USFAs were 100% made in Hartford, Connecticut .

Yep ..after 2002 using the same CNC programs as the previous.....

BMW's made in the good old USA   = still a BMW
Toyota  "                          "        = still a Toyota

"Oops, there aren't any recent Colt products"
And one reason Colt pricing is through the roof..is Connecticut itself plus the Collective bargaining of the UAW steering the labor.

" So ....... Let's be thankful for Uberti and Pietta"  and without Uberti ( and dare I say ASM * ) Doug Donnally might not have started importing.

I saw a (USFPA?) gun once and I almost jumped on it even if ti was Italian.  They did the details right...

The folks at Colt Forum would probably take issue with that. Not to mention a few friends that have received new-production New Frontiers. Colt is shipping guns, albeit very slowly.
