Went to a gun show today. Sorry to say, no guns I was interested in or could afford (except a neat old Marlin 1894 in 38-40, but too much money). However, I did find an old book entitled "COLT'S VARIATIONS of the OLD MODEL POCKET PISTOL 1848-1872" by P.L. Shumaker, copyright 1957, revised second edition. Lots of neat stuff I never personally knew about them. Other than a slight water mark on the paper jacket, the book is in excellent shape as the pages are crisp and there are no tears in the paper jacket. Since it is pouring cats & dogs tonight, what better way to spend the evening than sitting in front of the fire reading this book with the two dogs at my feet.
Another gun show next weekend, off I go!!

You live like a King Hombre. Live like a King and two dogs to boot. You have it made.  ;)

Rifle, I'm going to quote Skeeter Skelton " I am the richest man in the world. I've got a good wife, a good dog(s) and a good sixgun".
But I lost one of my dogs two days before Christmas. I'm still upset, but she will always be remembered as a faithful and true friend.
