Just a quick question:  how many of you use your Henry rifle at Civil War reenactments. If so how many reenactments do you use your Henry at per year?

Thanks for any information.

I go to about 3 reenactment per summer season and use my Henry or Spencer.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a handsome, and well preserved body; but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming...."WOW!... What a ride!"

Does used to count ?

I carried mine on horse back, I think the first time was the 82 Saylor's Creek event, there was 3 of us.

I do. I have slowed down the last 3 years and have mostly done 150s, so my Henry use is down. I might use it twice this year, the same next year. Then the war will be over.

Thank you for all that have answered.  I am trying to get an approximated number as to how many reenact with their Henry rifle.

On another note we will be forming a "Henry Company" for Nash Farms/Atlanta Campaign 2014, Franklin, TN 2014 and Bentonville 2015. If interested send me a message.  We had 8 Spencer Rifles and 25 Henry rifles in our company at Chickamauga last Fall.

Sean,

I never bought a lever gun to use at  a reenactment.

I did buy an AS Spencer Carbine in .44 Russian cal. so that I might be able to make up Blank round from either .44 Mag. or .44 Special and get them to feed through my firearm.
I never fallowed through with that experiment. Too much fun shooting the real thing.
My best,
