Beautiful work! A genuine pleasure to look at.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Hi Slye,

Just beautiful! I am new to CAS and leather working. I really favor the long irons and love the way you wrap them. I am about to start making a rig so your post is just in time. I am thinking of butts forward type setup as per Abilene's video.
I hope I will not detract from the visual theme of your post by asking some rookie questions:
- lined or unlined
- what weight(s) material
-  how you mount holster to belt, I would like to see a picture of the rear of your holsters
Again Slye, thank you for sharing and I hope I am not inappropriate for asking the questions. Be well- BobbyF

Cheer up things could be worse, sure enough I cheered up and they got worse.

Hello,

many thanks at all  :)

for asking at your questions Bobbyf :

we use leather hide part side and double bend , in between 9 and 10 oz
lined or unlined , at choice
for the fixation of our "slim jim":
With the positioning of the leg ( the height) and the angle of unsheathed

in position " straight angle "

in position " draw cross " or " hip draw "

our models of the " Sellerie" , positioning at best the holster ,  to avoid the ballotement of " open top"

So long

Hi again Slye,

You gave me more than I could have hoped for. Answering my questions and providing the great photos (well worth more than a thousand words) will get me going in the right direction.i didn't think there would be so many ways to attach to the belt. I see each method has its benefits. It is a shame you can't see the backs when you wear the holsters, they are as pretty as the fronts. You have a way of making everything, the shape of the holster and the incising, flow together. It is very pleasing to the eyes.
Thank you for the lesson and for your time. Be well- BobbyF

Very nice work. Makes me a little envious. I have been trying to come up with a design for carving on my holsters but have drawn a blank. I used to be a fair artist when I was younger, but did not pursue it as I started a family and it became more important to give my time too. I am out of practice.

Maybe the way to wear those is loop out, inside your belt. 8)
