Bottom Dealin Mike

I picked up a Merwin Hulbert open top old model army revolver with a seven inch barrel, chambered in .44-40.

It isn't pristine, but it is in good working order, and I think it will make a good shooter with B-P loads.

They're doing wonderful things with copier technology, and it will get better. 8)

Good find Mike.  I won't even ask the price.  Do some video of loading, shooting and unloading.  That's one purty gun.  I'm wondering if and when the repro M&Hs will show up on dealer's shelves.  I'd buy a brace of 'em pronto.

I guess you missed where they threw in the towel... they stated "advance order moneys would be returned"  ::) ,  I only heard one guy claim he got his... :-\  on the other hand I haven't read any " get a rope " posts.

   Greetings!

I have a "shortened barrel" Open-Top with the Plowhandle Grip, chambered for the "Winchester 1873 Ctg."; it also has a silver dime for the front sight. It's not as pretty as yours!! I put some reduced power BP loads through it, and it does shoot. I would love to see this "Cadillac of Open-Top Revolvers" introduced by an Italian firm...

In your upcoming vid be sure to demo the skull "crusher" feature!!  ;D  ;)  Nice hogleg.

Believe it was Mike Venturino who said these are extremely well-made revolvers. Very fine addition to your herd, Mike.
