Windy City Joe

You should be up here. KVC will have a shoot tomorrow. The weather will be in the HIGH TEENS with the possibility of snow.

Berger Sharpshooters pulled off their first shoot of the year today. Partly cloudy with winds going down range 12-15, high in low 60's at quitin' time. Tough to keep a hat on yern head!

Tascosa Joe

Johnson Barr:  Actually, until about 12 PM we almost froze to death.  The winds were gusting around 25 mph and it was COLD!  The sun came out warmed us up but the wind was still high.  But we had a good time with 16 shooters.

Nothing like that here, we saw upper 40's & windy setting up Friday night, but a steak at Outback after that made it nice !

The shoot was LARGE FUN , with mid 60's warming to 70 and the wind was gone... all in all a fine day.

Cleaning guns today, in fact I'm about done..looking forward to our next on Mar. 1 and then the shoot in Springfield  :)

I have been to a large number of shoot (SASS & N-SSA) and Civil War reenactment (even here in Florida) where the cold made everything simply miserable if you could not find a way to get away from it. But, I kept going back!
Here in Florida, you will most likely find 95 + degree temps with a humidity running near 100%. This too can be pretty miserable conditions, but, I kept going back for those too.
Makes me wonder sometimes... I guess I was having fun!
My best,
