How to get out fold/crase marks?

I am finally making something -- a pair of botas -- out of some 3-4-ounces textured chrome tan I had folded up in a bag for a couple of years.  Any thoughts on how to make those fold/crease marks go away?

just dampen well, lay flat, and rub by hand or with a slicker to get any creases/wrinkles out - let dry et voila!

You may have to re-add some conditioner but that's it...

Santee, you set a high mark with yours.
I have my pair about 90 percent completed. I had thought originally to use Chuck's strap and buckle system to attach the tops, but lacking a pair of the appropriate buckles, may go with the simpler hole-and-strap system shown in Hanson's "Mountain Man Sketch Book."
Also finding out that my leather choices weren't the best -- but with the nearest leather shop 2 1/2 hours away over a snow covered pass, tough darts.  The body leather is a little too stiff. May try to soften with mink oil. The cuff leather is moose, and much thicker than needed. And oh, my, the botas look shiny pilgrim new!
