Let me first put fourth the caveat. I PERSONALLY don't like Wolff springs.  Had a bad experience with them some time back and have had no reason to change my mind.  Now
I have had very good luck with Lee's Gunsmithing Gunfighter springs and VTI Gunparts reduced Main Springs in Pietta guns.  I can't speak for Uberti .  As long as the caps were firmly seated on the cones, ignition has been 100% reliable.  In the past, Cap guns that came into the shop did not receive reduced springs.  Just a good basic rubbin n buffin.  I have not liked Uberti offerings as the Arbor has always been too short and the Arbor/Barrel fit a RPIA to fix.  Arbor fit on Pietta guns has been uniformly correct.  Having the barrel/cylinder gap constantly variable can also affect ignition.  There is an easy & cheap fix for 90% of Uberti Arbors.
My personal sets of Pietta guns still suck caps with both Slix And Treso cones and will go to Lee's Gunsmithing for Cap Guards.

I just sent a pair of Pietta 51's (w/5 1/2" barrels ....sweet) to Lee's for cap guards. I've seen his work it's great!

I love the videos Mike, keep 'em up!!

All I see on the Cimmarron Accessories page is the Evil Roy spring set.  Is that what you are talking about?

They say Wolff, but it is a stronger spring than the Wolff's I bought from Brownell's.

Sorry Guy's for the misdirection, I thought it was accessories section.

I bought the qty. of three for the bargain price. I ordered a total of six.

Lefty, maybe you are just getting older so they feel stronger.

Well maybe so, ;D

Yesterday, at Cow Town I was shooting my Real Colts in 44. All original springs in my 3 gen's. They are very smooth, tuned by Jim Martin when they were new from the Custom Shop. And I shot a Clean match. I shoot Duelist so I like them smooth but not to light and not a spongy action.

I will never get my 51's or 60 Pietta's like my real Colts. And the Cap gun clones can not spell, C-O-L-T like the 73's when cocked to battery.

Oh, and by the way. The Brownell Wolff springs are gray in color and the Cimarron's are gray-black. This difference would make the Cimarron springs different and stronger. ;) :D ;D
