For sure and for certain reversed.  A Sharps and a Colt Navy looks like to me.  look at the weird hammer spur angle, though. ???

Major 2,

This is a nice photo of you from... how many years ago?
My best, (but you should not bait these folks) Most have no since of humor.

Sorry  :)  I meant no deceit

It was taken 33 years ago ,
TK the Pistol in my coat is an Original 3 screw 1860 Army ( earlier in the day, I had bought it from Tom Hunger, Winchester Sutler and mutual friend of Blair & mine)
It was later lettered by Colt as issued to the 5th. Iowa Cavalry. It was the first of 4 Colts I still own, 3 Army's and a Navy.
The Saber, is my Emerson & Silver circa 1862 issue M60 light Cavalry Saber.
I literally hung my saber up after 31 years of mounted cavalry reenacting, it hangs today over my headboard crossed with a 1840 Dragoon saber.
The Sharps is an 1863, sadly I let it get away in weak moment between being gainfully employed & the next project.
I still have the original Belt plate, it survived and was found after the barn fire in 2011, the belt was toast.

The photo itself is a wet plate process ferrotype ( though above is photographic copy ) I had it made at the 118th Gettysburg reenactment. The Photographer's name is lost to me, but I do know he passed away years later, as a result of the chemical process and his love of the period process & providing this service. His camera was an original...

I noted the above gents coat buttoned as it was a reversed photo,  as it is in mine, there for he carries his saber on his right side  ???

Sorry if I offended, I saw the levity of the Orange tips & the  "A. Uberti, Pietta and one Euroarms" quote and figured to wade in  :)
when planets align...do the deal !

The Trinity Kid

I was close. ;D  At least I was right about one thing.  It was reversed.
