Artificial Sinew

Ordered a spool of artificial sinew about a year ago. This stuff is fine for short run projects but anything longer it begins to separate and fray like crazy. Recently, I was digging through and old box of supplies and I found a small bank of artificial sinew from many years ago. This stuff is much better androundrsthetthan the flat stuff I am currently using. Is there a current source for the higher quality round artificial sinew?

I'm using a big spool from Tandy, I think. Could be from Crazy Crow. I've stitched a fringed rifle case with one continuous thread and had no fraying. It gets a little funky at the needles but all that gets cut off.

I bought a spool of this from Tandy many years ago and have used it for several projects. The only one I have a picture of is a stool I made for a friend last year. I will probably never use all of the spool.

It isn't often you can sit comfortably on barbed wire.
