   Greetings!

   Those groups are wonderful! That 'long chamber' 1871 Springfield Spencer looks like it wants to shoot, really bad!

Thanks - I really lucked out finding a good load for it so easily. That Rapine bullet has worked really well in my .50-70 and .50-95 as well.  Its a sweet bullet.

Just a hunch., but have you actually slugged the bore?  ???  It looks like possibly undersized bullets. Some of these old bores were all over the map.

My rifle's bore slugs out at .5145' in the grooves.  I'm shooting the .515 Rapine bullet.  It seems to be a pretty good fit to me ;D
