I am slicking up my newly acquired Baikal 43m shotgun and have succesfully replaced the opening lever spring with a cut down 1911 spring and it is a great improvement.

I have disconnected the auto safety and I am now trying the remove the cocking levers to replace the hammer springs/cocking levers but I am having difficulty drifting out the pin that holds the cocking levers in place, any tips out there, the pin just will not budge no matter how hard I hit it ! >:(

Is there a dealer who will ship Ruger Vacquero springs to the UK. The places I have looked at so far state no international shipping.

Any help would be appreciated,

For Ruger springs you could go to Shotgun Boogie Gunworks in Germany http://www.shotgunboogie.de/
Saves import troubles I guess  ::)
I was not lucky with the 1911 spring, the gun opened after the first shot. My Baikal has the original sprins again.
Do you have Papa Dave`s cocking levers, they work great in my gun, as for the pin ,I don`t know how hard I had to hit it.
It's not cocked I hope ;)

Thanks Henry,

I am hoping I will not need the Ruger springs and my intention is to get Papa Dave's cocking levers to try first.

I just want to make sure I can drift that pin out before sending for them. I had another try today but the pin will only move about 2mm ! I am baffled :(

The action is not cocked.

If I have trouble with the 1911 spring, I will put the original back in the gun.

Just read the instructions that come with the levers, it says starting on the right side, drift pin to left, take lever out and put new one in.
No biggie, can't really remember that I had trouble with it, sorry.
