Are holster tie downs legal in SASS?

I'm not too sure where, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that holster tie downs were not allowed in SASS. Is that true or did I just imagine that? I looked in the rule book, but didn't find any references to holster tie downs.

You might be thinking about NCOWS since leg ties are not allowed.

Yes, they are SASS and NCOWS legal.  They are actually a nice safety item.
Just remember to unlash them irons before you hve to go hot.

I believe you are thinking of the tiuedowns that go over the hammer spur to keep the gun in the holster. I was referrin g to the tiedowns that secure the bottom of the holster to your leg.

I'm not sure, but it may be that they aren't allowed for Classic Cowboy. But then they are probably just what would be worn for B-Western.

Tying the holsters to your leg IS legal in ALL SASS categories.  If anyone tries to tell you different have them show you page, paragraph and book.  They won't be able to because no such restriction exists in SASS.
