Ive owned 5 different Ubert 73s over the years.  I enjoy the rifle and Uberti does a fine job manufacturing them.

My most recent 73 was a SRC i picked up last fall with the intention of it becoming my son's match rifle after a grows out of the Winchester 94/22.

I shot the carbine a at a few matches and found it to shoot to the left, way to the left.  I tinkered with the sights, replaced the rear with a buckhorn and tried about 8 differnent loads.  Everything went to the left (and I might add with a great deal of variation). Warranty runs out in 6 weeks, so this weekend, I did a detail strip and inspection for defects.

Result:  muzzle is not square.  The crown was cut with about a 10 degree cant.  Right side is proud and left side is shallow.

Anyone every see this before?

Contacted Cimarron and they were lickety split to send UPS to pick the rifle up on their dime and haul it in for service.

Pancho, anytime i work on a gun for myself or others, if it's shooting left. right, high or low, the 1st thing I do is check the crown. Not usually the problem, but it's the easiest flaw to find.

I feel stupid for not checking sooner.  I guess I trusted quality control at Uberti too much.  Wont do that again.

Damn, don't feel stupid!! As men of "logic", we always look for the most complicated solution first. :D
