USFA Remingtons

Let me go ahead and apologize if this question has been answered before.   I know there has been speculation, but don't recall seeing a "definitive" answer.  This may be more of a "Gary" question, but of course any one is free to opine.

So exactly what did happen to the few sample Remington guns that were created.  I know there were a few, but don't know exactly how many.  Anyone know exactly what happened to these most holy of holy grails?

There was one centerfire made and that went to someone at Davidsons.  2 BP were made and engraved and they went to Remington.  I think the #1 and #2 guys at Remington.  Anoher BP was made but the hand channel was never cut and that went to a dealer in CA.  My memory is fading but I think that's it.
