Back several years ago, I bought an 1874 Swedish Remington Rolling block action at a gun show.  I have always wanted to turn it into a rifle.  I emailed Dave at Lone Star and was talking to him about doing it, he said he could use the action and make me a custom .50-90 Sharps rifle for a little less than $2K.  Unfortunately he died before I could gather up the cash to pay him.  After that I got involved with some health issues and operations and forgot about it.

Do any of you have any suggestions on who might be able to turn this thing into a shooting rifle?  The action is in perfect shape for as old as it is.

Colt Fanning

Howdy,
I would recommend James Sommerfield in the Houston area.
His number is 979 836 3559.

I can highly recommend Rich McKinney for his work on rolling blocks. He will do the job to your needs form hunting rifle to show piece.
