The charge bar is spring loaded, just pull the round knob and then let it go.  The charge bar has bushings for different powder charges.  Note the little brass knobs.

You reach around the cylinder and grab the little brass knobs.  Then pull the charge bar, release, turn the cylinder one chamber and do it again five times.  Takes about ten seconds.  Only downside is that .36s are to small to use the measure.  Even with a .36 nozzle, you can't get the measure in close enough to the gun to use it.

I have gotten used to loading the cylinder with just my cylinder style flasks.  However, when I shoot my Roger and Spencer pistolas - taking the cylinder out is almost like the Ruger so no big deal.

I have French kin - so i think I can get them to buy them and send to me. Thankfully their area of France is very gun friendly and her husband grew up running wetland bird dogs for duck and upland birds.

He still raises and trains Griffons - which are great hunting dogs as well as all around good middle sized dogs.
