Can someone provide the height of a front sight on an original Win 1876 in 45/60?

I measured my repro sight at 0.313" against it's ladder rear sight height of 0.298" on a 28" barrel.

I have since removed the brass blade from the base and would like to create a Win sporting sight but need the height.  I believe it is different from the 73.

I am also thinking of replacing the ladder sight if I cannot get it tightened.  I will be using a full buckhorn marble adjustable sight.  So I would like to measure out ratio's for any adjustments to the height.

Thanks for any infor.

Howdy Black River Smith,I measured two pinch blade Winchester front sight's that are original to the rifle's. They are both 28 in. oct. barrels ,one a 45-60wcf the other is a 45-75 wcf. They measure 0.250 from top of barrel flat to top of blade. They each have the Winchester ladder sight's equiped from Winchester. Hope this may help you,,,,,,Dusty

Thanks, that is what I needed.  I will work with that value.

Believe it or not I came up with a value close to that using just pictures from the internet. One ratioed to 0.246 the other came out at 0.22 But actual is a whole lot better.
