Beautiful work !! Are you going to give out the recipe, or is it a secret ?

Johnny McCrae

Beautiful work, Cliff.

In addition to the gorgeous colors you get, it will never rub off on clothing. I personally think it is the easiest to apply.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

And what about that Walnut Stain Recipe?

Awesome colors...awesome work!

Marshal Will Wingam

Beautiful, Cliff. Those colors are really outstanding and the work is first rate. Thanks for sharing.

Here it is.  It only took me 10 seconds to call it up.  Just look in the "FAQ/How to..." thread in the stickies.

Well done Cliff, I like playing with my home made walnut stain too, I can create so many different shades and depths of color, and like Johnny said, it never rubs off, I'm to a point where natural dyes are mostly all I use anymore, you can't beat the quality and ease of use you get with the natural dyes, once you invest a little time in making them, they last a long time, and can be used over and over again.

Recipes can be found in our FAC/HOW TO Thread fot those that might like to try it.

Thanks for sharing this Cliff, it is a great example of what we can do...

It's mostly what I use anymore. Also since it penetrates deep into the leather scratches just give it more character as it gets used.

Vinegaroon for black. Do a search and you'll find some info on it.
