Up for sale is a new Pietta Smith carbine.  This carbine is about 4 years old but has never been shot.  A friend of mine bought it to put on his wall and never did anything else with it.  It opens nice and closes tight.  It has a nice shinny bore.  A little dust but no rust.  It has both the bar & ring and the two sling swivels.  This is correct for the time because at the onset of the Civil War these guns were equipped with only sling swivels.  But because they wanted to use them for mounted troops many were sent back to the armory and equipped with the bar & ring.  Because of this many had both the bar & ring and the sling swivels.  I can send more pictures if you send me an e-mail.  Asking $700 + shipping.  Terry 716 693-three two 37 t.schultz5@roadrunner.com

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a handsome, and well preserved body; but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming...."WOW!... What a ride!"

Very Nice. I like these old creatures. I really want one but I think I will hold out for an original.
