:D ;D Now there ya go again Del :o :)

And I never have claimed to be a cowboy, but I do know just a little bit about dutch ovens.

In my poking the term hard core again I never asked about where this group gets it's water, I'm hoping they have learned to drink up-stream from the heard, the trouble being today there is no place far enough up-stream. ;)

Sanitation among the true hard cores is something else also.

They prolly get their water from their canteen filled out of the faucet at their house with the Brita filter.. :)

I don't guess I've ever claimed to be a cowboy neither, but I dang sure know there's some good eatin can come out of a dutch oven that someones been running that knows what they're doin. :D You can also use one to turn a decent roast into a fine chunk of charcoal :-[

Pard I've been called a hard core and a farb both, once by the same person a few weeks apart.  I figure I must be doing something right.  I put on a good show, in public most of the time, teaching others who want to learn, not simply whining about people who don't know how things were.  I'd hate to think of how many hundreds of people I've served with no casualties to any food borne disease, despite some of the primitive conditions.  I like to think that's some of the farb stuff that has prevented that.  Never met a person who wasn't happy I used the non-PC Farb brand hand sanitizer after I went and pooped in the privy.

I think you qualify enough for me to call you a cowboy and that offer of a plate of grub anytime still holds.

I only know a few Latin sayings, like;

In Vino Veritas, and

Illegitimati Non Carborundum

I have on, it's in my sig  "Ab Ovo Usque ad Mala" can be translated many slightly different ways, I like the "Everything from soup to nuts" version myself, I need sometime to make menudo and prairie oysters together sometime, it would be an offal meal. ::)

Del I truly hope to someday be able to accept that plate full of grub, slice a pie and a cup of coffee.

I would enjoy that or just about anyone else here on Cas City and even the others are welcome. ;)
